CCM Quick Start guide

1) Create new Taxonomy Scale template (optional; if you need it to be different from the Default one).

2) Create Competencies and Competency Groups (optional).

3) Create Roles, defining Role Competencies for each.

4) Create Jobs, defining Required Roles for each. You should use job titles that are used in Active Directory "Title" field under Organization tab.

5) Create Certificate templates. If you define a course for a Certificate template, employee will be granted with it automatically upon successful completion of the course.

6) Add users or user groups from AD to Employees group in CCM.

7) Create profiles for employees manually or using a synchronization function.

AD Synchronization
- Activate LEARNINGFORCE - CCM: User Profile Synchronization Job Web Application feature (CA> Manage web applications > Manage Features)
- Check CCMProfilesADSyncConfig.xml file on web front-end server at c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\TEMPLATE\XML\ to see which AD fields will be synchronized with CCM fields.
- Run ELEARNINGFORCE - CCM: User Profile Synchronization Job. All the users from Employee group will get their Profiles created. If you want this to happen only once, you will need to disable a timer job after that or setup its running times according to your plan.
- Check the Profiles created (Settings icon in the upper-right corner > Profiles). If any of required (marked with *) fields are empty, the profiles will not appear in Personal Profiles list under Active view. You will have to press LIST tab in ribbon and change Current View to Incomplete to see them.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that incomplete Profiles are still recognized and can be used to build hierarchy relationship in LMS Suite.

NOTE 2: CCM sync with SP User Profiles service will be pretty much the same; mapping file name is CCMProfilesSPSyncConfig.xml.

7) Grant a user all the competencies he already has (optional).

8) Grant user with a certificate (optional).

9) Create Teams.
