How does CCM license count work?

In older versions of CCM license counts the number of users added to the CCM Host site collection of the web application where you use CCM, i.e. it's counting all users on the site, not particular group members.

Starting CCM v1.2 and v2.0.0.20 there are license improvements incl. the user count. In these versions the license counts the members of the Employee group of the CCM host site collection.
