Is CCM profile connected to the SharePoint profile store?

By default only email, title and profile picture fields are. The rest is CCM custom fields and they are not propagated to SharePoint profile. 

If SharePoint user profile service is disabled then the mentioned fields are active for editing through CCM, otherwise will be disabled in CCM and synched from SharePoint profile.

 

Starting versions CCM 1.2 and CCM 2.1 you may use 'ELEARNINGFORCE - CCM: User Profile Synchronization Job (with SP User Profile)' web application feature that creates/updates CCM profiles for members of Employees group based on SharePoint Profiles. List of fields that are synched during synchronization is controlled in the configuration file on the server. See more about that in the following article.
